A man was sitting in his house one night, and the rain was just pouring outside. On TV he heard that there was flooding in the area. He said "I'm not worried, God will save me."
He woke up the next morning and found that the nearby river had overflowed and flooded his entire house. He could not even go downstairs because the water had risen above the first floor. As he looked out his second story window a man in a rowboat happened to pass by, and he yelled, "Jump in! I'll save you!" "No, thank you," said the man, "God will save me."
The water continued to rise, and the man climbed up onto the roof. Another boat with two men in it passed by. One of the men yelled, "Get in! We'll save you!" Again, the man replied, "No, thank you. God will save me."
The man was on his roof, water to his waist, praying for a miracle. A helicopter flew by and dropped a rope. "Grab on, I'll pull you up", the pilot yelled. "No, thanks," the man answered "God will save me".
After a few more minutes of trying to stay afloat the man was swept away and drowned. When he arrived in heaven, the man asked to see God. When he was brought before him he said, "Tell me Lord, what happened? I had faith in you. I prayed for a miracle. Why didn't you save me?"
The Lord replied, " What more do you want from me? I sent two boats and a helicopter!"
